Las Vegas News Bureau photographer L.E. Baskow captured the scene as the Las Vegas 51s defeated the Sacramento River Cats in the final Triple-A professional baseball game in Cashman Field history on Monday, Sept. 3, before a crowd of 5,353. An affiliate of the New York Mets since 2013, the 51s will be affiliated with a yet-to-be-determined Major League Baseball team in 2019, and will move into Las Vegas Ballpark, a new 10,000-seat facility in Summerlin, by opening day next spring. In 2018 the Las Vegas 51s franchise final “home” attendance total was 332,224 in 70 dates for an average of 4,746.  The all-time attendance total now stands at 12,001,011.
