CASEY & THE SUNSHINE GIRL: Las Vegas Car Stars showman Paul Casey cherishes the memory of the young daughter he just laid to rest
Spiritually, Jobyna’s profound impact on her dad hovers over his 10th annual Las Vegas Car Stars event May 9-11th. Created by Casey, a special events producer/performer who bills himself as “the king of Las Vegas entertainment,” the three-day blowout is a splashy pop-culture revel.
This marked the 15th time the Veterans Stand Down, hosted by nonprofit U.S. VETS-Las Vegas, has been held in the valley. Organizers expected to draw about 800 veterans seeking legal help, financial assistance, access to military records, food — even haircuts and showers. The community event wouldn’t be possible without the support of volunteers, sponsors and in-kind donations. This year’s sponsors included MGM Resorts International, Cox Communications, The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas and Sands Cares.
Caesars Entertainment Corp., MGM Resorts International and The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas scored 100 on the index; the foundation rates them as Best Places to Work for LBGTQ Equality.
