Mexican Independence Day, Sept. 16, marks the moment in 1810 when Catholic priest Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla, aka Father Hidalgo, called for Mexicans to enter armed battle to end three centuries of Spanish rule. Events including many concerts by top Latino singers and musicians, will enable a weekend of proper celebration throughout the Las Vegas Valley.
