If approved, The Boring Company would begin plans for a loop of underground express-route tunnels that would transport passengers in high-speed, autonomous electric vehicles across the convention center’s campus, opening in time for CES 2021. The people mover would also potentially link the convention center to Downtown, the Las Vegas Boulevard resort corridor and McCarran International Airport.
HOLY SOW! Chinese New Year is a tourism boon as local resorts, businesses ham it up for Year of the Pig
Rev up your celebration engine once again for The Year of the Pig as Chinese New Year fever descends over Las Vegas for a tourist onrush (and economic windfall) that began Feb. 5 and stretches over 15 days. Also known as Spring Festival and Lunar New Year, it’s a holiday that basks in an ever-widening spotlight in our tourist corridor, where catering to Asian visitors grows ever grander.
Special events, displays and menus provide opportunities for residents to partake in the annual celebration
The annual celebratory dragon display returns for another year at The Forum Shops inside Caesars Palace. The 22-foot-long dragon is not only a great photo opportunity for visitors, but is also a traditional symbol of power, strength and good luck. The decorative display is dressed in thousands of LED lights, flickering to give the mythical creature a vibrant look and dynamic feel.
