Epicurean Foundation hosts ‘Strikes for Scholarships’

The pins were flying recently as the Epicurean Charitable Foundation hosted its fifth annual “Strikes for Scholarships” event at the South Point Hotel Casino.

In addition to bowling, the festive student-run event included eating, drinking, dancing, balloon sculptures, face-painting and other activities in support of the foundation’s mission. Celebrities on hand included actor/Vegas Golden Knights announcer Mark Shunock, the casts of X Country and X Rocks, and actress/singer Cheryl Daro.

Founded in 2001 and comprised of 25 top-tier food and beverage and hospitality executives, the foundation aims to give a leg up to deserving students passionate about careers in the hospitality and culinary arts industries. “Strikes for Scholarship” proceeds go to providing full-ride scholarships and mentorship opportunities, and the bowling fund-raiser paired scholarship recipients with their mentors on the lanes.
