Golden Knights raffle donation tops $1 million

During the 2018-19 season that saw them make it into the National Hockey League playoffs for the second straight year, the Vegas Golden Knights raised more than $1,026,000 for local charities from their 51/49 raffle promotion. The donation recipients included: The Folded Flag Foundation, Best Buddies International, Three Square Food Bank, Junior Achievement, the Injured Police Officers Fund and the Vegas Golden Knights Foundation.

Promotional support for the raffle was provided by the Raising Cane’s restaurant chain.

“Due to our fans’ generosity and support of the 51/49 raffle, we are thrilled to raise more than $1 million for a number of charitable organizations in the Las Vegas community,” said Golden Knights President Kerry Bubolz in a statement. “The charities who received donations touch all the organization’s charitable pillars including health and wellness, hunger and homelessness, education, military and youth.”

Added Raising Cane’s CEO/founder Todd Graves in the same statement: “My crew and I are so proud to use our sponsorship to help the Golden Knights Foundation’s efforts to support so many outstanding organizations throughout the Las Vegas community. Active community involvement is at the core of our DNA.”
