Photo feature: Life Is Beautiful celebrates music and art

Life was indeed beautiful at the annual Life is Beautiful Festival Sept. 21-23, as the annual music/culinary/art festival electrified downtown Las Vegas. As always, colorful — and often, outrageous — dress was on display among the crowd of an estimated 170,000 festival-goers who made up the sea of enthusiastic revelers.

This year’s musical lineup of nearly 80 acts was an all-star roster that included The Weeknd, Death Cab for Cutie, Florence + The Machine, Alison Wonderland, Arcade Fire, DJ Snake and Travis Scott. Comedians contributed to the festivities, headlined by Hannibal Buress and Michelle Wolf.

Highlights among the food and beverage offerings were the popular Cocktail School, which returned with local and national mixologists on hand, and the new live fire-cooking demonstration with Chef Justin Kingsley Hall of The Kitchen at Atomic. And the festival was rife with art installations and murals, featuring an international slate of artists from the U.S., France, England, Lithuania, Spain, Portugal and Romania, among many nations.

It was all, well, Beautiful.
