LVCVA seeks resident volunteers for blockbuster Vegas sports events

Now is the time to get in on the action, Las Vegans.

As our town relentlessly amps up its global sports profile, the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA, which produces Las Vegas Newswire) is putting out a call for volunteer help from local residents at major events with its online volunteer portal, which launched Dec. 9. By signing up, you can share the glory at all the events tied to such big-time festivities as the Pac-12, the Las Vegas Bowl, NASCAR and Wrangler National Finals Rodeo.

And don’t forget the 2020 NFL Draft, which will require at least 1,500 volunteers for its April 23-25 blowout in Las Vegas. As the National Football League’s most popular off-season event, where teams’ draft picks are announced, it’s highlighted by personal appearances and is chockablock with interactive exhibits, autograph sessions and giveaways.

So visit the portal to get more information, add your name as a potential volunteer and become part of Vegas history in the making.
