“Hospitality Heroes” is a program created by the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA), in conjunction with the U.S. Travel Association’s National Travel and Tourism Week, celebrated annually in May. The LVCVA (which produces Las Vegas Newswire) and its tourism partners honor employees who deliver superior customer service. Since the program began in 2008, nearly 600 “Hospitality Heroes” have been recognized in Southern Nevada. This series spotlights the 2019 Hospitality Hero winners.

Comments from Michael’s supervisor, Steve Burton:

“What can be said about Mike Jannicelli that hasn’t already been said by the many guests he helps every day? He is engaging, positive, fun and makes people smile even when he is taking their money! The guest experience team even had to create his own folder in their email in-box because of the number of great notes they receive from guests whom he has had at his table. They say, ‘The House always wins’ and that is so true for New York-New York. We have truly won with a casino employee like Mike.”
