United Blood Services to hold memorial blood drive

On the first anniversary of the 1 October tragedy, United Blood Services will host a memorial blood drive from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. in rooms N245-251 in the North Hall at the Las Vegas Convention Center (3150 Paradise Road, Las Vegas 89109) to honor those lost, injured and affected by the tragedy.

Appointments can be scheduled at www.bloodhero.com by using the code “1october.” On the day of their appointments, donors should also complete a health history questionnaire before making their donation by visiting unitedbloodservices.org and selecting the self-interview option.

In conjunction with the blood drive, University Medical Center will offer a “Stop the Bleed” class at UMC’s Delta Point Building, 901 Rancho Lane, at 11 a.m. on 1 October. For more information, call 702-383-SELF (7353).
